...painful secret...

i never thought this day would come- the day that one of the family members will have to hide something from us...

i turned and i saw it, the most painful sight that i have ever seen- my father smoking secretly in one street near our house. he knows he shouldn't do that because he's diabetic and has other complications. but why? how can he hide something like this from us?

i told my older sister about it and i was amazed to hear that she had also seen him smoking a year before. my sister even told me that she thought she was only seeing things because she knew our father couldn't do that. yet, here we are now... my sister told me to keep this between us and not tell our mother. we knew that learning about this would hurt her. but my sister assured me that we will tell her, when the right time comes. it's just that, we are not ready to see something we think exists only in television and movies.
